Give Yourself Some Credit and Sleep Better

Give Yourself Some Credit | Association for Mental Health Professionals

One of the many benefits of belonging to AMHP is our list of partner programs which you may find here. We're very happy to officially launch one of them today and I'd like to share with you a bit about it and why we think you'll be very happy should you decide to partner with them.

Give Yourself Some Credit

Impulse Payments by Deluxe is a credit card processing system based in the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex with offices all over the US. I met these people several years ago, made the switch at Life Tree Counseling and have never looked back.

What Am I Looking For?

There are two primary benefits you want out of a credit card processing partner and they are:

  1. Outstanding Customer Service, and
  2. A Competitive and Fair Processing Rate

We recently did a podcast interview with Bryan Dillon, the President of Impulse Payments, and when asked to tell us what he believes his company does better than his competitors he spent all of his time telling us about his customer service staff and the pride they take in being there, in-person, for their clients.

That says something to me. I can't convey to you how much I don't like having my time wasted navigating a customer service voice-mail tree or being left on hold for 20 minutes at a time only to end up talking to someone with an accent so thick I can't understand them. That doesn't happen to me with the Impulse Payment staff.

Got Rates?

Let me give you a free shopping tip. When you're looking to buy something, if the sales rep heads straight for price and starts cutting it just to get you to buy his product, that's a sure sign that he has nothing else to sell or has been poorly trained, or both.

Brian had so much fun talking about his support staff and the job they do that Phillip and I had to bring up the subject of "competitive rates" to get Brian to talk about it. And he did! You can listen to the podcast here for the details.

Need a Carrot?

As an AMHP Member, when you make the switch over to Impulse Payments you're going to receive a $50-$100 gift card from Impulse. You'll receive that based on your transaction volume and receive it sometime after your first 90 days with Impulse. Between that little reward and the transaction costs you'll (probably!) save you'll net more than enough to cover your annual AMHP Membership. So there is that!

Summary

Let's face it, credit card processing is not a sexy topic but it's a necessary evil in the economy we live in. Talk to Brian's staff and get a feel for how they do things. You can begin here by requesting a call on this page. If you like what you find, let them take a free look at your processing history to see if they can save you some money. Looking's free and they'll walk you through each and every step of the process. Why not? What have you got to lose?
