I'm Kathleen Mills, LPC-S, CEAP, CIMHP. I'm a licensed mental health professional in the State of Texas and have operated my own group practice, Life Tree Counseling, for 34 years. In 2018 my partner, Phillip Crum, and I started PracticeMentors.us and began conducting ethics-based workshops, primarily for licensees under the jurisdiction of the Texas BHEC, Behavioral Health Executive Council.

In December of 2022 we founded AMHP, the Association For Mental Health Professionals, a professional organization for "disenfranchised" mental health licensees and related industries. You may read our Mission and Vision Statements here. We do not subscribe to the Woke social movement or where it's taking our profession and, while not the only reason for AMHP's emergence onto the scene, it was the driving factor behind its creation.

Kathleen's counseling model is based on a holistic, mind-body-spirit approach to mental health. She believes that the body wants to heal itself, including most mental illness, and given the proper materials will do just that.
