So what just happened on Tuesday?
I'll tell you what happened. Cultural Marxism 3.0 officially died because rural America showed up and put a stake through its evil heart. Real, "Constitutional-Republic"ans showed up en masse and said, "No, I don't think so, Karl."

Be advised though, this is not going to be like some movie exorcism where the heavy air of evil immediately clears up once the devil is dispatched and the sun comes out with the requisite birds-a-chirping. Wars don't end that neatly.
There will be a period where those soldiers who didn't get the memo persist with their skirmishes (think Japanese soldiers who hid in the mountains at the ready for 40 years post-WWII) before eventually giving up. Then there's the clean-up and re-building phase (think Marshall Plan after WWII).
Our post-war Cultural Skirmish is about to begin if it happens at all (can you say, "funding priorities"?) with the usual cast of characters: BLM, Proud Boys, and any other group that just wants to destroy things and burn cop cars. How much funding is available from their handlers will determine the depth and duration of this cycle. I suspect, though, that this phase will involve far more lawyers on both sides than it will rock and bottle throwing, vaccine-injured, green-haired anarchists.
A lot of the leftist anguish will be played out online in social media echo chambers where they console each other with a degree of verbal vitriol usually reserved for demons and other vanquished spirits. Point out this highly unprofessional behavior to all who will listen but do not engage in any misguided efforts to help them see the light. They're not interested and that time has passed. We are on to the next phase of the operation to reclaim our Republic and it's basic principles.
Should I Be Afraid?
I don't believe there is much to be feared from this segment of post-election events. There will be no altering influence on the psyche of the electorate, the one that just roared their disapproval of the Left's un-American ideas and adolescent behavior. Yes, there will be cornered-animal-like behavior at the civilian and government levels but I choose to believe that the smart kids that got us this far have taken the likely backlash into account in their quiver of potential responses. The days of the losers' tantrum will be short. Ignore them like you would a 3 year-old doing what 3 year-olds do when they don't get their way.
I tend to believe, if only because I want to believe, that the re-building phase has been in the planning for years and will now begin in earnest. The mere presence of the Occupying Army of God (rural American voters) will have a very restricting effect on any childish behaviors of unemployable basement-dwellers.
So let the re-building of America begin.
What Lies Ahead of Us?
The next thing on the radar is the above-mentioned post-loss behaviors. This will pass relatively quickly and be dealt with swiftly (months or less).
Quickly approaching is the sentencing of our duly-elected convicted felon. UPDATE: Apparently the DOJ is dropping all cases as we type since a sitting President cannot be prosecuted. So he'll shortly no longer be a convicted felon. See how easily baseless lawfare outcomes can be cleared up?
The Electoral College will meet mid-December and cast their ballots for President (this is the real election) and I suspect there will be some legal fookery attempted to disrupt that, but to no avail. DJT will be elected President. Again, incoming nonsense already accounted for.
Then we'll have 5 weeks to traverse until the Inauguration. I have no idea what the Deep State has left in their moldy bag of tricks or if they'll have the energy needed to pull anything off. But if they have any hope of ousting DJT and his armed American Mandate this would be the last chance to try.
Once inaugurated and assuming a peaceful transition of power, Operation Patriot Clean-Up will be put into action beginning on Day 1. Yes, until the people in the various agencies, departments, and captured media are legally dealt with they will continue to generate noise against the democratically elected administration, and by extension those who elected them. So don't be surprised when the Marxists and their followers lash out because they believe someone is coming to confiscate their participation trophy collection. They will do so until they have nothing left in the tank. Recognize it for what it is; noise. It's the last gasp of the socialist demons as they are exorcised from our nation, so let it go. Point it out as unethical behavior to your associates and colleagues but let it go.
As A Counselor, Do I Care About This?
Yes, you do. You'd better because your counseling career lives nestled smack in the middle of all of this. We do NOT live in a bubble unaffected by what goes on outside our office doors.
I will tell you that if Cultural Marxism 3.0 is dead, then those of us that care greatly about this profession have the skirmishers (the left-leaning counselors who bought academia's Marxist indoctrination) and the clean-up operation (academia, accrediting institutions, licensing boards, etc) ahead of us. I hope you see the urgency inherent in your decision to play a part in it.
The good news is The Tyrant, the enemy of liberty that fueled it all, is dead. Long live liberty! Now let's go clean up the mess we find ourselves in before we hand things off to the next generation.
