Nirvana via Marxism: We’re Letting This Happen?

| Association for Mental Health Professionals

The woke community uses something I call the 10% rule to achieve their objectives. That rule would have you change a definition ever so slightly in your favor, just a little bit, when no one's looking. Then let your target audience hear your argument through the filter of their understanding of that old familiar term.

You can get a lot of people to agree with your position this way, even if they don't understand what they just agreed to, because this technique relies on the "defer to the expert" phenomenon. (We're too lazy to go look it up ourselves so we just accept what the expert in the white lab coat tells us.)

Nirvana via Marxism: What's in a Word?

I attended a webinar last week, given by yet another "woke" presenter, with the same reluctance and queasy feeling in the pit of my stomach one gets during morning sickness, or when it's time to call weird Uncle Larry and ask for my hammer back. But I do it anyway to stay abreast of the latest nonsense in my profession.

Kip and I will do a more detailed podcast and discuss what we heard ad nauseum. For now I thought I'd give you just a taste of the word-salad-nonsense that these people throw at you in order to create confusion and faux-guilt in the minds of those they're trying to persuade (that would be you!)

You Can't Make This Stuff Up

This particular presenter "identifies" as: “White, Jewish, cisgender, lesbian woman.”

Ok, white I get, Jewish I get, but what's this "cisgender" thing? (That's your first hint that there's a load of crap coming your way, when new words are made up to explain this "new way" of expressing yourself. Remember, "there's nothing new under the sun", just new ways of describing cyclical madness. Ancient madness, different day.)

So I went and looked it up and here's what Merriam-Webster has to say about it:

Cisgender

": of, relating to, or being a person whose gender identity corresponds with the sex the person had or was identified as having at birth."

What you publicly present as your gender---is the same as what the doctor said you were when he took that first peek and told your mom she'd need more (pink or blue) booties.

But now according to the woke community, you can't just say, "I'm female". Now you're "cisgender". Why? Because fast-forward 15-20-30 years and that same little girl we just birthed in the preceding paragraph, with little girl plumbing, is all grown up and wants to be a boy, or thinks she's a cat, or identifies as a tree stump. Whatever is trendy this week. So referring to one's sexual identity by the standard equipment package you were delivered with may not be accurate.

See how that works? (No wonder the left is mad all the time. They're having trouble keeping all this straight!)

You can always count on the Wikipedia definition to be a bit more biased (they can't help themselves, they're driven by irrational emotion which requires them to eat all their candy in one sitting!). Here's what they say:

“Cisgender is a term used to describe a person whose gender identity corresponds to their sex assigned at birth. The word cisgender is the antonym of transgender.”

Oh, I'm gonna need help unpacking this suitcase!

1. "...a person whose gender identity..."

This definition begins with an assumption that everyone has a secondary "gender identity", a way of referring to themselves that differs from their biological status. This is a subtle attempt to get you to subconsciously buy into the secondary gender identity belief system. That's called a slippery slope argument. Agree to that first point and the following points are increasingly and ever easier to fall for.

The whole biological status issue makes it far more difficult for them to legitimately pretend to be something else. They want the discussion of biology to go away so they can play make-believe in a "safe zone" environment. That is why they attempt to untether themselves from the biological discussion...in the very next sentence.

2. "...corresponds to their sex assigned at birth."

"The term, "assigned", implies that a 3rd party, the delivering doctor, made an arbitrary decision at your birth to call you either male or female. That's very wrong on several levels.

First, your biological gender was not assigned, it was determined for you, by your own DNA. Your doctor merely made a biological observation and wrote it down.

Second, getting you to believe that your birth gender was assigned is the first step in getting you to believe it can be changed by simply pretending to be something you can never be. The logic is if it was arbitrary to begin with, you have a right to change it now.

3. "...cisgender is the antonym of transgender."

Let's review: Cisgender means that your (current) sexual identity corresponds to the plumbing package you were born with. Transgender means you're publicly pretending to be something other than what you were biologically born.

Now go back to the top of this post and read this speaker's description of herself. She says cisgender. But since that term can be used by both males and females, she has to now use TWO terms to describe herself: cisgender and woman. (Remember when this used to be easy?)

Can't just say "woman" anymore 'cause you neve know what might be hiding under that skirt. Now we have to add "cisgender" so we know that "woman", in this case, means "born with female parts". Got it! Oh, let's not forget to throw in "lesbian" 'cause a) I'm supposed to care what you do in your bedroom, and b) I suppose this is a way to tell all those mean toxic men out there that she's batting for the other team and to leave her alone? (Hope I used the right pronoun!!) Other than that I have no idea why I need to know her biological-partner preferences. (See how biology crept back in there!)

Call To Action

Okay, we just devoted an entire post to one term and there are dozens more. How do we fight back?

Go with your gut. If it smells like bullsh*t, then do your research to confirm. Then, if it still has that meadow-inspired, barn-yard aroma, ...it's manure.

One thing I didn't mention is that almost ALL of these woke presentations are devoid of any numbers; no empirical evidence. They simply ask you to believe their position statements then hurriedly move on to the next play before anyone throws the red challenge flag. That's one, simple way to counter their arguments, ask for numbers; peer reviewed, scientific numbers. They ain't got 'em.

And pay particular attention to the words and phrases they use. Look 'em up, dissect the definitions like we just did above, and don't believe anything you're told without thinking first!

We got this. Now let's go take it back.

In the book I am writing, I just had to include the following that I discovered. about the American School Counselors Association. Prior to the Obama administration, the organization was non-political and neutral to students’ issues. During and since then, the association is pushing its liberal, radical ideology. Their goals include being against parental rights in schools, in favor of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Critical Race Theory, and Wokeism. Their annual conference was held in Austin, Texas last July, and the conference was entitled, “No Limits.” Carolyn Stone, the ethics chairman and past president of this association, said public schools are the only setting where parents relinquish custody and control of their children, and therefore school administrators have the power to inject their influence on students. She further stated that ethics are situational, and her example was about state laws and whether a state requires the school and school counselors to alert parents and under what circumstances. She pointed out that there were two school counselors in Florida that have lawsuits filed against them for failing to alert parents after these two counselors were advising them about their desire to transition. She also said as school counselors, need to know what the rules and laws are, so they can break them. So, if you are a school counselor and want to join this association, and you disagree with the platform, where do you go where your values and ethics are supported?
