October 1-3, 2026

2026 will be an interesting year for our profession with changes unfolding at every level, some we're not even aware of yet! Our focus this year is on developing your practice through the addition of a wholistic mindset. Informed consent, or the lack of it, from the medical community is also an enormous issue that needs to be addressed and remedied. A fully informed patient is an empowered patient. The mental health profession is one of the last lines of defense for our clients but we have to do better. We must do better. Please join us and be a big part of the solution.

This year we're expanding to a 3-day conference, and we've added a ticket pricing tier for grad students and current associates. We're also hosting an optional 2-hour CE event on the morning of Day 1 for a small additional fee.

You'll receive 22 CE hours for the event, 24 if you attend the optional Day 1 morning event. This is going to be fun!

To present this material we've decided to "get the band back together". These veteran speakers bring well over 70 years of experience in this topic to the table. Be prepared to take copious notes and walk away from this opening event feeling empowered to help your patients on a level you've probably never considered before.

Day 2 Morning & Afternoon Agenda

We'll begin with Kathleen Mills' opening statements then we'll dive right into the thick of it. Day 2 is going to be focused on what the medical profession is seeing in their clinical environment, and how that may be presenting in your counseling offices. Dr Angie Farella, a Front Line Doctors veteran, will discuss what she and her colleagues are seeing at the PCP level of care and what she believes to be the origins of the problems, and what's being done about it. This may help you recognize issues that are showing up in your practice, and how to best handle them.

Informed consent in the medical profession, including the world of counseling, is on life support, some might say by design. The right of patients to be given all, ALL, of the information they need to make informed decisions about their health, and the opportunity to think critically through honest informed consent is the first and last line of defense for you and your clients. Dr Jeff Barke is a strong voice advocating for informed consent and does so on a weekly basis through his podcast, Mastering Your Health with Dr. Jeff Barke. We could think of no one better to drive home the problem and its solution than Dr Barke. After today you may feel quite differently about what your patients are presenting, and empowered in new ways to deal with it and inform your patients of their options.

Day 2 Evening Dinner & Awards Ceremony+

AMHP Conference 2026 | Association for Mental Health ProfessionalsDay 1 ends about 4:30 and we'll take a 90 minute respite so you can visit with friends and give the hotel a chance to set up for dinner. Then we'll be right back in the main room for a nice evening with your peers.

We'll begin the evening with a very nice dinner with accompanying classical guitar! We'll follow that with our Annual Awards Ceremony honoring two of our attendees, spotlighting their great work.

"Advocacy/Influencer Award" - This honor will be presented to one ambitious recipient who has given their time, energies, and probably their money to advancing causes dear to them. These efforts will have encouraged others to stand up and be heard, as well as having had a direct and meaningful impact on our profession and the people we serve.

"Lifetime Achievement in the Counseling Profession Award" - This honoree will have displayed a lifetime of participation in professional activities outside of the counseling session room and those pursuits will have benefited the traditional, science-based counseling profession in a direct and positive manner. Don't miss this, you might be a winner!

The Evening's Featured Speaker

Dr Carrie Madej is making a return visit to talk with us about the spiritual aspects of mental health recovery. The power of prayer is very well documented and peer-reviewed by the scientific community and that will be our focus during our time together with Dr Carrie Madej. Food for the soul!

Dr Carrie MadejCarrie Madej received her medical degree from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. She trained in Georgia to become an Internal Medicine physician and served as medical director, private clinician, and associate professor of medical students at PCOM in Georgia.

Dr. Madej became known on social media in 2020, when she sounded the alarm on the experimental Covid shots. Her experience over the years have educated her on the plan for transhumanism, genetic modification, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence for humanity. She believes this technology is a threat to our civilization.

Her focus is now on providing solutions to the current health crises. Dr. Madej believes a physician should be a teacher of health to the patient and identify root causes of dis-ease. Her teaching incorporates the importance of body, mind, and spirit in achieving wellness, and that the balanced body has the inherent ability to heal itself.

The Fireside Chat

Following Carrie's presentation she, and Kathleen Mills LPC-S, will spend some time together answering  questions submitted by attendees.  You'll learn a LOT from this evening and get 3 more CE credits but you must attend to benefit!

Day 3 Agenda

Dr Henry Ealy is one of the rare minds who is very qualified to speak on just about any topic, so much so that we're giving him both speaking slots on Day 3. He has a special place in his heart for helping people suffering from the horrific effects of chemical and genetic damage and so we've asked him to specifically address that issue. We want you to walk away from your time with Dr Ealy feeling empowered and more informed as to how to handle these issues when you see them in your practice. He's also extremely well versed on all of The Six Pillars (Nutrition, Sleep, Water, etc) and so rather than pigeon-hole him on a limited range of topics we've asked him to tailor his message to the mental health community, and speak to what's on his mind in the world of healthcare when we meet. We're going to wind him up and turn him loose. Get ready!
